You're invited to be among the hundreds of seniors who join their peers at the Angelus Plaza Senior Activity Center every day. We offer many opportunities to meet people, learn new things, share with others, have fun or find supportive services.
Located in the heart of historic Bunker Hill, in downtown Los Angeles, the Angelus Plaza Senior Activity Center serves the needs of Angelus Plaza residents as well as seniors living downtown and in nearby communities.
It provides programs and services which emphasize the importance of continued learning and a healthy lifestyle in a safe and supportive environment. This encourages multicultural sharing and intergenerational involvement. The staff continually strives to provide opportunities for personal growth and development. Open in 1980, Angelus Plaza is a private, not-for-profit affordable community developed by Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) of Long Beach, California.
The Senior Activity Center provides a variety of programs and services. They emphasize the importance of ongoing education, a healthy and active lifestyle, multi-cultural sharing, and intergenerational involvement. In addition the center includes but is not limited to: a congregate meal site operated by Good Samaritan Hospital, the Olive Hill Pharmacy and a Los Angeles Unified School District Continuation High School site. The Center also includes meeting rooms, a dining room, library, classrooms activity room, a computer lab and a 250 seat auditorium available for use by both in-house and community organizations.
